Presentation of Dietrich

A watch is a personal and intimate object that can accompany us everywhere we go. For many, watches serve as blank canvases for self-expression, conveying a bit about one’s individual identity to the world. At Dietrich, we recognize this importance, inspiring us to craft timepieces that not only tell time but also resonate with and mirror the distinct personalities of their wearers. Tailored for the non-conformist who desires to make a statement. If you seek beyond the mainstream, come join us on our journey.

History of Dietrich

Founded in 2010

Emmanuel Dietrich, born in 1969 in Besançon, the birthplace of French watchmaking, hails from a family with roots in Alsace and the Swiss border, creating a fusion of two worlds. With artists on one side and Jura mountain artisans and watchmakers on the other (with one grandfather taking a distinctly Swiss path as a chocolatier), Emmanuel’s heritage embodies a rich blend of artistic and artisanal influences. As an artist / designer passionate about his craft, Emmanuel lives by the German expression “Gestalten,” embracing the idea of shaping and giving form to his creative concepts as a guiding principle. Fuelled by an insatiable sense of curiosity and love for design / sculpture, this principle has driven him to reimagine everyday objects in his environment with his bare hands, aligning them with his envisioned designs. Dietrich Watches serves as Emmanuel’s exclusive atelier, where he endeavours to bring to life the designs he has nurtured in his mind over the years. These creations encapsulate his artistic vision of what watch design should be, and each unique Dietrich timepiece is meticulously crafted in featuring clean, pure lines and a modern approach.
